We did not clean the XXXXX when we got it. We picked it up, handled it, dry fired it a lot and made comments about how well-designed it is and how it will change the conversation about the company.

Those intolerable bastards will be forced to give this one a clean slate…for a minimum of nine hours before one of they/them posts a 4th hand account of how their cousin Sherryl’s drunk husband, Troy, said the slide fell off when he accidentally ran it over with his electric obesity rover on aisle 3 in Walmart.
The surveillance camera on aisle 3 was off that day.
Reddit nerds hate XXXXXXX for the success they’ve had with the XXXXXX for 20 years. For some reason they hate the gun more than they hate themselves. Personally, I’ve never seen it fail. One of my best friends did accidentally send a 230gr through his center console with one, but that’s fine.
Back to the big step forward.
The XXXXX is a full-size working gun. Holds 20 rounds of 9 mil. The grip angle is right. The slide has shoulders at the front and rear for emergency purchase in case you slip off the serrations when things go live and adrenaline overpowers your motor skills—turning your clammy hands into curved flippers. The optics cut and pillar system allow you to configure a single cut with 30 different red-dot optics and no need for plates. Maybe a formerly liberal LEGO designer came over to the dark side?
The XXXXX’s frame is…advanced. There are flared indexing points on both sides above and forward of the trigger, so your thumbs have a shelf regardless of whether you’re right-handed or God made you on a Friday at quitting time. In fact, everything is ambidextrous.
There’s fine stippling everywhere it needs to be. Grippy…not too grippy.
The trigger is great. Not perfect, but well beyond most factory striker-fired guns. It’s entirely contained in a stainless-steel chassis, so everything feels rigid and crisp. All of this can be moved to different grip modules. There’s also a second backup sear to prevent drop firing in case Troy drops it hard from an airplane at 30,000 feet.
There’s a tritium front sight and a u-notch at the rear with an optional tritium two-dot rear.
Myself, Charlie Benton, Alex Brigham and Captain John McClosky shot 1000 rounds over two range sessions without a hiccup. It’s fast, accurate and reliable.
We did make it fail, but after the 1000th round—and it wasn’t the gun’s fault. We were trying hard, and we believed in ourselves.
Aesthetics? It’s a great looking gun with simple linear cues. They didn’t get too “high-tech meets Monster Energy” with the appearance, which unfortunately is the trend these days. It’s a straightforward design.
Reasonable questions: Can it replace a Glock 17? Yes, if you want it to. Is it more advanced than a Glock 17? Yes. Is it as reliable as a Glock 17? So far, yes.
XXXXXXX’s XXXXX is a win. It will change the way people talk about the company.
