Everyone should own a top-tier .22lr pistol.
Why?
Because you’re likely to shoot it more than any handgun in your safe. Ammo is cheap, it’s ideal for training, and if you put a silencer on your rig, you can practice in many back yards without ever leaving the house.
The Volquartsen Scorpion is at the top of my list for a premium do-it-all .22 pistol.
It’s accurate, ultra-reliable, lightweight and everything about it screams precision.
On the Scorpion, you can pick between a 4.5” and 6” barrel. Mine is the 4.5” because I wanted the lightest configuration available. Since I’m basically training my 3 young children to be assassins (if they should decide this is their calling) the heft of this toddler-weight weapon makes it easy for them to use during their relative infancy in the ninja world. It’s 2lbs.
I’ve eaten heavier burgers.
I’ll let you go to their website to check out the rest of the specs, but the last feature worth mentioning is the trigger.
It’s perfect.
A good trigger in a pistol can transform your shooting and the Scorpion’s death button is the best I’ve used…on any pistol…ever.
You should’ve already stopped reading this article and jumped to Volquartsen’s website to add the gun to your shopping cart, but if you haven’t, I’ll leave you with one final thought:
If things in this world go really sideways, more than they have already, the .22 pistol is going to be the second most important gun in your safe -right behind your .22 rifle.
So, if you want the best, this is it. Stop looking. Own one.
