Our Instagram Sunday Q&A is a weekly—or semiweekly depending on JV’s mood that day—chance for you to interact with our team directly. Ask whatever you like; insult us if you please; just don’t go crying about it when JV puts you in your place.
For those of you who are not completely inept, your answers will be swift and educational, leading you to knowledge akin to that of the ancient philosophers who helped drive our species from the Stone Age to modernity. That last part may not be true, but we sure as hell will give you our opinion and help you with whatever problems need solving.
We decided to post these Q&As here so those who had something better to do than look at Instagram on a Sunday afternoon or are dedicated to their craft and actually work Monday morning, can revel in the glory and enjoy some much-needed humor, quality product recommendations, and possible links to Schoby’s OnlyFans page.

Q: What calibers will the FE x Steyr collab come in?
A: You asked your fiance for permission to buy an Omega watch. This collab is chambered in a cartridge that’s too much for you. (.308, the best short action cartridge of all time. Perfect for women and children. A bit too snappy for Omega Watch guy, though.) FE X Steyr collaboration coming soon.

Q: Thoughts on the Nightforce NX8 4-32×50?
A: The NX8 is solid in every option they make.

A: Browning A5. The inertia system on the Browning requires less maintenance.

A: God we hope so.

A: The Grenadier is very quiet for an SUV. Honestly, there’s not an SUV out there that’s more fun to drive right now.

Q: Tony’s getting up there in years. Anything we can do to support him?
A: This is true. @tonycagg_outdoors is “advanced in years” – Old Testament for old AF. He can still out hunt you in any environment with 1-2 mild anti-inflammatories.
Q: Will the next Sweet T be highgrade, sculpted, or other?
A: The next Sweet T by Winkler may come with a scrotal leather sheath from his recent Cap buffalo bull in Zambia.

A: They’re roommates now.
Q: Can you have too many rifles in the Lord’s caliber?
A: No sir. Take three laps for asking.

Q: Is a plains game trip worth it or just save up for a buffalo hunt?
A: Do a buffalo hunt if you’re already saving. Once you’ve paid the day rate for buffalo camp, adding plains game animals is very cheap.
Q: What Kuiu rain gear do you recommend?
A: Kutana.
Q: Favorite non-African international big game hunt?
A: Banteng with @bigcountrysafaris and @tlfsafaris.
Q: Will we get a CRUSR range review?
A: Yes. Reaction videos with the FE X Henry CRUSR and Buffalo Bore ammo .45-70 heavies coming very soon.
Q: What’s your opinion on Sako rifles?
A: Very good.
Q: Thoughts on Browning X-Bolt 2?
A: One of the most reliable and accurate factory platforms out there.

Q: Using the Steyr Pro Hunter in .308 as reference, what’s the ideal magnification in a scope?
A: Personal opinion: 500 yards is a good ceiling for big game killing with a .308. Run some calculations and look at where the energy drops below 1000 ft/lbs. Out to 500, it’s a hammer. A 10X is plenty on big game at this range, but most will benefit from a 15X.
Q: Preferred truck gun set up?
A: For two years the Steyr AUG has lived under the back seat of my F-250. It’s as short or shorter than most SBRs and there’s no notification law when crossing state lines. It’s easy to make hits at 250 yards. SOlid all-around truck carbine.
Q: Best reason to get the FE Ghost 92…no cliches please.
A: In its price range, it’s the smoothest/fasted 9mm out there. Ask @christian_craighead.
Q: Missed Henry Rifle Guy’s question. Please share so we can all shame him.
A: Henry Rifle Guy sent an excited message stating his wife gave him permission to buy the FE X Henry collab rifle as long as he waits until spring. We have a private investigator verifying his identity so we can make sure none of his local gun shops will order one for him.

A: That’s not a question. Go run two laps for paint free air and purification.
Q: Would you ever hunt whitetail with a .300 BLK Mini Fix?
A: 100%
Q: Thoughts on pump-action rifles?
A: The Henry Pump .22 is one of the coolest rimfires we have. .22 shorts are great out of it.
Q: Next time you have time to kill before a flight at ATL, I’ll buy beers and cigs at Hammers Beach Bar.
A: Not a question, but you get a two lap credit for this.
Q: Bro in law works for BHA (Total fag), any good talking points for Thanksgiving dinner?
A: Just turn to your drunk uncle and loudly repeat you question verbatim.

A: No. Zero reason to use one on a bolt gun.

A: Maybe and probably.

A: Absolutely. Ron carries a S&W M&P Shield, and I want one.

A: No idea but @petecorreale is going to wreck whatever Porsche they give him and we are not liable for this.
Q: BB58 or Pelagos 39 for your only watch?
A: Get a regular sized (42mm) Tudor Pelagos from Gundersons and call it a day. Stay tuned for a Gundersons x FE collaboration in 2026.
Q: Recommendations for drying gear and guns after rainy trips? Rust is stinky.
A: Air compressor, then brake cleaner, then lubricant.
Q: Sling for Q Fix? Picked up the Outrider, waiting on the can.

Q: What are your thoughts on the Shiappa Rhino revolvers in .357?
A: Only to be carried by the most unclean of Philistines.

A: No, but we’re sure your mom is proud of you for it.

A: yes, the FE waxed outerwear is premium quality USA made. Coming this winter. We’d have them already if @the_ron_dan didn’t hold the whole fucking project up so the snap buttons could have FE on them. We do love Ronald’s attention to detail, though.

A: Half of our team bowhunts when nobody is looking.

A: When i get back from Europe, yes.

A: The Lord’s Caliber. .300 Win. Mag.

A: No drama, they’re just miserable cunts.
Q: Background behind the partnership with Don Fulano?
A: No background. They’re one of the world’s premium additive-free tequilas and now we work with them. We’ve tested it extensively. Very good.
Q: Since I can only pick one, since I have to buy a new chair for the corner, the Henry or Steyr?
A: You asked your wife for permission to buy a rifle specifically designed for serious men. Let that sink in. Get whichever one you want to have when we mark you and Omega Watch Guy hunt each other down on The Isle of Cucks.
Q: Wiley vs. Solomon in a street fight, who wins and why?
A: 100% @wileywatson and it’s not even close. Solomon is bigger, but he lives in a beach house with 10 girls, so he’s probably rutted out and scrawny right now. Even on his best day, Solomon gets worked by Wiley.
Q: Any thoughts on a midweight button up shirt? The Zenith is damn good, just light in the fall.
A: The FE flannel is the most comfortable shirt in the history of the universe.
Q: Is the podcast done for good?
A: Nope. One episode per week starting in January.
Q: I’ve only hunted quail but have shot all my life. What’s a good next hunt?
A: Whitetail with FE Outrider.
Q: Can we get Dana White to put on an Omega Watch Guy vs. Henry Rifle Guy fight?
A: No. They must hunt one another. There can be only one.

A: How bouts a replacement rifle? Get a Winchester M70.
Q: Any hunts/animals that you wouldn’t use the .45-70 for?
A: Wouldn’t use it for Cape buffalo or water buffalo, but many have.
Q: Honest thoughts on Ruger rifles?
A: Very good rifles made in America.
Q: It’s getting cold in Texas. Any chance the Field Jackets go live soon?
A: It’s never been truly cold in Texas. Ron is on it. He Shall clothe thee.
Q: Considering a new X-Bolt 2 or Steyr. Have a second Win. Mag. or diversify with .30-06?
A: Get a .308.
Q: Truck rifle case restock soon?
A: Yes.
Q: What is this Don Fulano partnership?
A: We drink tequila. They make extremely good tequila. Match made in heaven.
Q: Is the SA-35 still a favorite?
A: Yes, did some dry firing with it this week. The Springfield SA-35 is waiting at the ready in a Galco Miami Shoulder Holster.
Q: Any updates on the ZEV OZ9 collab?
A: The ZEV collab is 100% happening. It takes time to add the pirate shit we wanted for this one.
Q: Any interest in publishing a FE weekly devotional?
A: It’s a good idea. We’ve been leaning toward doing a weekly bible study-type podcast once we get the mothership podcast dialed in. It’s going to take some time to build out individual themes with different hosts with the channel. Ideally, we’ll have a podcast dropping every day of the week from different hosts within set themes so people can pick which host and topic they want to listen to on a regular basis.
Q: Any book recommendations for new “girl dads?”
A: The Bible.
Q: Best watch for $5k or less for first nice watch purchase.
A: Something from Tudor or IWC. Call Gundersons when you’ve picked one. They’re very easy to work with. And they support conservation.
Q: Anyway to get FE Beretta 92 grips? Can’t get the FE/Langdon Beretta in CA.
A: Just wait until God sends down all the plagues on your state and then move and buy the FE x Landgon Tactical. Or just call them and see if they’ll sell you grips.
Q: Do we have feelings on the Hummer EV?
A: Run 31 laps.
Q: Prayers for my buddy Devon Dobek who went missing 10/31 on a deer hunt?
A: Done.
Q: When is the Exception being released?
A: They’re coming from Germany and have to clear customs. Could be a minute since we don’t pay customs employees in this country.
Q: Can you catch us up on the lore of the Henry Rifle Guy? I don’t recall him as well as OWG.
A: He just surfaced this week.
Q: Is it okay to drink Bud Light now? (When Cold Snacks aren’t available.)
A: No. They’ve still never properly corrected their position. Drink Coors Laaahhhhhts.
Q: Going to pick up 590A1, any upgrades or attachments recs?
A: You can add a red dot, but start with a Surefire Light.
Q: Preferred barrel length for a .375 H&H? Preferred profile for that barrel?
A: 20.5” or 21” Medium contour. The perfect .375 H&H is a cut down Winchester M70 Alaskan, but the M70 Safari is very good in its stock configuration, too.
Q: Ammo rec for TX22? Super and Sub.
A: Favorite would be CCI “Standard Velocity.”
Q: Homage watches (Seiko GMT), bot their place or just accept you are poor and stay in lane?
A: 100% have their place. My most meaningful watch is a quality piece but not one of the big fancy names. My dad gave it to me. The watches i’ve bought will not become meaningful to me until i give them to my kids one day.
Q: Thoughts on the Smith & Wesson 2.0.
A: Exceptional. My Favorite 10mm so far. S&W M&P 2.0.
Q: Flying Delta with a rifle during this shutdown BS. Chances it gets lost?
A: They lost a Mauser Diplomat in .416 Rigby last week but they got it to Christian Craighead. It’s his favorite rifle so he was not amused.
