Let summer live on a little past Labor Day with this bright and sunny cocktail.
- 2 fresh strawberries (chopped)
- 6 basil leaves
- 2 teaspoons simple syrup
- 3 oz bourbon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 cup ice
- 3 oz Topo Chico or other sparkling water
In a glass, muddle strawberries, basil, syrup and lemon juice until the flavors are extracted and mixed with one another. Add ice and bourbon. Finish with Topo Chico.
Repeat until happy.
